Dr. Armengol grew up in Miami, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine, then completed his pediatric residency at the University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Armengol started with Pediatric associates in 1998. He has a special interest in urinary tract infections and streptococcal infections in children. He has volunteered at the Barrett Early Learning Center, Camp Holiday Trails, Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle, and the Boys and Girls Club.

He is an avid cyclist and has a weakness for chocolate. He loves doing outdoor activities with his twin teenage boys.
