Following the automatic renewals that occurred throughout the COVID19 pandemic, starting April 1, 2023 each family member will need to renew their medicaid application each year in order to remain enrolled in the program. To stay covered, you must respond to official notices from the Department of Medical Assistance Services, Social Services, Cover Virginia, and your health plan. You risk losing coverage if the due date passes.
