Just a few weeks until the official start to fall, and it is time to start thinking about seasonal illness!
- FLU VACCINE is available now and recommended for everyone!
- You can get a seasonal flu vaccine at any office visit or schedule a nurse visit.
- As always, we will host larger flu clinics throughout the fall. The first flu clinic has been scheduled for MONDAY, OCTOBER 13th at our downtown office. Weather permitting, this will be a drive through clinic so remember to dress children in t-shirts or shorts for younger children. Send us a portal message to get scheduled for an appointment time slot and stay tuned to our website for other clinics throughout the fall.

- RSV season officially begins on October 1st.
- Infants from birth to 8 months will be eligible for an RSV antibody shot called Beyfortus. As a reminder, RSV (or respiratory syncytial virus) causes serious lung infections frequently resulting in hospitalization in our youngest patients. This long lasting antibody shot is highly effective in protecting infants. Talk to your provider if you have questions about an RSV shot for your child.

- COVID VACCINE – similar to flu vaccine, the updated seasonal COVID vaccine is available and recommended by the AAP for children 6 months to age 2 and older children with a risk factor, those who live with individuals at higher risk, or if desired by their parents/caregivers.
- We are now offering the COVID vaccine and are awaiting the arrival of free state-funded vaccines for children with Medicaid or no insurance. If you have questions about the risk/benefit of the COVID vaccine for your family we will direct these questions to your provider rather than the triage nurse- your provider is best-positioned to consider the specifics for your family. As always, the portal is a great way to reach your provider.
